Still smiling when I think about my first D-Townswing last weekend. One of the best events I went to. Excellent organization by Marc Heldt and his team! With everything I heard from other Westies and a teacher staff like this I absolute had huge expectations …. and this weekend turned out even better. Great workshops, awesome music, the live music of Murray on Sunday, and a fantastic atmosphere throughout the entire weekend. And all the information you needed during the event could be found in the D-townswing app or at the handout.

Little critical comment …. why wasn’t there a shuttle bus at 3am? …. See guys now I had to stay on the dancefloor till 4-ish….. 😛

Proud of my bestiewestie Mariska Visser for making it into Strictly Novice finals with our Crazy Swing bro Paul Pronk! So good to see how you improved your dancing the last months and during the event! Keep up the good work and can’t wait for our next event together!

Some personal successes this weekend: I danced myself into level 5 workshops by audition. During All-European prelims I danced one of my best dances with Pj Turner and made it into finals with Piotr Badman Lenart. Thanx guys for making fun with me and trying to get the best out of me!
Very proud that I made it into Novice finals out of 83 follows! Together with my finals partner Eric Cao I was placed 12th.
